Cold Heading Quarity Steel Wire
About steel wire for cold heading
We work on improving ability in technical service and suggestion by making the most of the expertise and manufacturing technologies that gained through manufacture of wide variety of CHQ steel wires and Cold forging parts specializing in the automotive industry.
Feature for Cold Heading Quarity Steel Wire
-
01
Process design CHW steel wire designed for each cuntomer's requirement
We suggest to the manufacturing engineering design in CHQ steel wire that meet customer's requirement and characteristics of product which customer produces. It's grounded on our CHQ steel wire manufacturing technologies cultivated over the years and know-how that incorporate our thought acquired by manufacturing cold forged parts.
-
02
Corresponding to the wide size range
We can produce many sizes of wire fromφ1 to φ50.
-
03
Attempt to warrent defect in the overall length of wire
It is possible to remove or mark the portion including surface defects by Eddy Current Machine. (EC)
-
04
Suggestion of CHQ steel wire with new function
We can supply suitable wire which meets the needs of customers according to the desire of with steelmaker.
-
05
Non Phosphate Coating (NPC)
We supply wire treated with Non Phosphate Coating. In high strength bolts, the conventional phosphoric lubricant causes the delayed fracture because of the enrichment of phosphorus. Non Phosphate Coating does not include phosphorus.
Feature of Coatin- 1.“NPC” lubricant does not include phosphorus (P). Therefore NPC does not influence the delayed fracture of the high strength bolts.
- 2. “NPC” improves the lifetime of molds compare to the conventional lime coating because it is powerful lubrication.
- 3. “NPC” contributes good environment in the plant because of reduction of the dust pollution with the powerful adhesion.
- 4. “NPC” lubricant is Water-soluble coating and is possible to remove the coating easily after the cold forging.
So It contributes to improve the surface quality after Plating and Heat treatment.

Manufacturing process
By combining the three processes of wire drawing, pickling, and heat treatment, we can create steel wire for cold heading that matches the customer's application and desired quality (size, shape, hardness, coating, etc.). We use the manufactured steel wire to create cold forged parts. We make effective use of our equipment and deliver parts with shapes that suit your needs, from net-shaped parts to cold-forged slag.

Contributing to the preservation of cultural properties through Japanese nails
Japanese nails are made using the traditional Japanese iron manufacturing method, which involves the decarburization process of ``tatara iron making'' and ``daikaji'', which reduce iron sand with charcoal. Finished by hand. The shape of the body is square, it is resistant to rust and easy to forge weld, and because it is made of "soft iron" with a low carbon content made by tatara iron manufacturing, if there is a hard joint at the tip of the hammer, it will not be damaged. It has the characteristic that it bends by itself to avoid knots and can be fastened without damaging the wood. Japanese nails can be said to be a practical product that takes full advantage of the characteristics of iron, which has been used in wooden buildings since ancient times in Japan.
Although it is generally said that it is difficult to replace the characteristics of Japanese nails with modern steel, we were asked to cooperate in the production of Japanese nails for the conservation and repair work of the Daimon of Kokawa-dera Temple in Wakayama Prefecture, which is an important cultural property. The Daimon is thought to have been erected in 1707, and our company has researched the materials of the Japanese nails used since its construction, selected the materials, established the manufacturing process, and developed the steel for Japanese nails. By providing this information, we were able to contribute to the preservation of cultural properties.
